Q
Quinten Voyce is high school teacher who will continue to fight for quality affordable higher education and vocational training in Solano County. He was raised in this community, attended Solano Community College, and transferred to complete a degree in science and a Master’s in Education as a first generation college student.
He knows first-hand the struggles community college students face while working towards their goals. As a teacher at Rodriguez High in Fairfield, he works with the Early College High School Program which allows a diverse group of students to earn college credit while still in high school.
For the last four years he has overseen responsible budgets and Measure Q spending for Solano College. As a science teacher who has worked in the biotech industry, he supports Solano College’s 4-year degree in Biotechnology which supports job creation and strengthens our community. He values recruiting and retaining a diverse student and staff population.
He has seen the potential Solano Community College has from multiple perspectives—as a community member, a former student, and a teacher—he will continue to help it reach its full potential as a board member.
